Think Dance Performance
Think dance is happening on Wednesday 8th February 2012 and it is at the MacRobert Centre. The MacRobert is part of Stirling University. We are the only school with all the pupils taking part at Think Dance.
Best Book Launch
Very near the end of last year both classes had a Christmas book launch.
Local Flooding
As you know we have had a lot of rain over the past few months in fact 163mm of rain fell in the month November alone!! The Endrick Bridge took a lot of damage in the storm but luckily the bridge did not collapse .
Stung by the Sting Jet
On the 3rd of January a wind called a sting jet passed over central Scotland. A sting jet has a hooked tail that added 25 mph to the wind that went all over central Scotland.

Burns Supper and Ceilidh Friday 27th

Has Christmas and New Year left you feeling like the great chieftain o the puddin’ race? Need to put a smile on yer sonsie face? Then dust off your dancing shoes, cut loose in yer kilt and let Buchanan Primary entertain you as we host our Burns Night Celebration Dinner and Ceilidh on Friday 27th January from 6:30pm - 10pm in the Buchanan Memorial Hall.
Fun in Athletics Success
A P5 combined team from Buchanan and Drymen has reached the finals of the Fun in Athletics competition after battling against Stirling schools at The Peak in Stirling's Sports Village.

Risk it for a biscuit

We raised money for Children in Need on 18th November by doing various activities. We made mouth watering money making Pudsey biscuits and held a talent show. There was singing, yoyo-ing, dancing, piano, skipping and joke telling. The amount raised was £100.

Buchanan School News Report
Buchanan Primary School held a Halloween fancy dress party at half past six until eight o’clock on Wednesday night.
The hall was filled with scary decorations. Many children came with scary or pretty costumes on. They took part in lots of fun and games.
There was also delicious food and drink. It was very successful.

Ready Steady Cook Family Fundraiser
Food, family and fun were on the menu when parents organised a Ready Steady Cook night. Mums, dads and children competed to see who merited a (michelin) star. The children's Green Peppers team of Alicia and Cameron were triumphant with their beautifully crafted mini banoffee cookie pies. Online Parent Consultation - Monday to Friday this week.
The National Parent Forum of Scotland is holding its annual conference on Saturday 1st October. They are providing parents with an opportunity to give their views on education and parental involvement via an online discussion forum everyday during the week running up to it. It starts on Monday 26th September.
